🌵 🥀 Have you ever seen a city like this before? 

🌵  Situated in the deserts of South Australia, this wonderful city is called coober peddy.The city is world famous for its igneous gems and has been a mining area for decades.That is why this city is known all over the world as the Opal Capital of the World.

🌐🏜  During the day, when the temperature in the desert exceeds 50 degrees Fahrenheit [50 C], they build underground shelters to protect themselves from extreme heat. Although it is very hot during the day, the desert is very cold at night.

🌵🥀The average temperature in this underground city s between 20 - 24 degrees Celsius. Also in winter it drops to 90 degrees Celsius.

Also, 15% of coober pedi people are indigenous and the rest of the city dwellers are from 50 countries. It is noteworthy that Sri Lankans are also among them. It has also been named as a city that can withstand any catastrophic event on earth.
