It is located adjacent to the Elephant orphanage 🐘 . The zoo is spreads over an area of 44 acress and is a land of no harm with natural beauty 🌴🍃.This was built to avoid problems with the original Dehiwala Zoo. 🐾

Local adults can enter the zoo for around Rs.100 . A children's ticket costs only Rs. 30 👉🎫

The pinnawala zoo is home to many endemic animals of sri lanka. currently , the zoo is home to crocodiles🐊 ,deer 🦌, leopards 🐅 , monkeys 🐒 , birds 🐦 , turtiles 🐢 and many other native animal🐾 s.

There is an internal road system thoughout the zoo. The zoo is divided into 7 encloure.

The purpose of the Pinnawala Zoo🐾 is to give the animals the opportunity to roam freely in a large area, to give the visitors a chance to see the animals' behavior and postures as well as to give them a better knowledge about the animals. This can be suggested as a very suitable place for local and foreign tourists to visit. There is a formal system of dining facilities and sanitary facilities.
